Journalist Responds to Pashinyan's Statement: 'I Consider Your Answer a Very Specific Example of Journalistic Manipulation'

Journalist Lia Sargsyan has responded to Pashinyan's remarks today, noting that he did not state that Shushi is Armenian. "Mr. Pashinyan, I posed a clear question: According to you, Shushi is a. Armenian b. Azerbaijani? I consider your answer a very specific example of journalistic manipulation. I expected to hear from the Prime Minister that the ancient fortress city of Shushi is Armenian, regardless of any status," she stated.

She further emphasized, "Let us note that with this speech, Nikol Pashinyan confirmed that if he were to accept President Vladimir Putin's proposal, Shushi would remain part of Artsakh. This means that the city's administration, police, NSS, and other law enforcement bodies would be Armenian. Ask yourselves: in such conditions, would Azerbaijani refugees return to Shushi?"
