Drones to Be Deployed to Monitor Ceasefire Regime in Artsakh: Russian Defense Ministry
In the Agdam region, the Russian-Turkish joint center established to monitor the ceasefire regime and all military operations in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone will utilize drones for operational purposes. This was reported by RIA Novosti citing the Russian Ministry of Defense.
“The center will collect, compile, and verify information regarding adherence to the ceasefire regime and actions that violate agreements reached by the parties. Monitoring will be carried out using drones as well as through the evaluation of data obtained from other sources,” stated a message disseminated by the ministry.
The opening of the center was attended by Azerbaijan’s Defense Minister, Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov, Russian Deputy Defense Minister, Colonel-General Alexander Fomin, and Turkey's Deputy Minister of National Defense, Yunus Emre Karaosmanoğlu.
