A Joyful and a Sad Circumstance in Iran's Foreign Minister's Statement about Armenia
Iranian studies expert Vardan Voskanyan wrote on his Facebook page that the most important point from the statement made by Iran's foreign minister in Yerevan was the clear definition of Armenia's territorial integrity as a red line for Iran. This was an unequivocal message to the tyrants in Baku and the Erdoğan administration that any encroachment on the Republic of Armenia will be viewed by Iran as a violation of its vital interests, prompting necessary actions in response.
Here, I must break the expected level of cold reasoning, even for a brief analysis, and note that on a purely human level, this statement provoked mixed feelings. On one hand, it is reassuring that Armenia has Iran's unconditional support in securing its own security against enemies; on the other hand, it is disheartening that the situation has escalated to the point of discussions about our country's territorial integrity.
