I Said If We Hold Out for Another Week, There Will Be Peace: Aram Sargsyan Explains Why
On the 18th or 20th day of the war, I gave an interview and said, 'People, if we hold out for another week, there will be peace.' I said this because during those days, Aliyev was looking for excuses, claiming that Armenians had dug trenches and built military positions for 26 years, and that it wasn't easy to just go and seize territory. Aram Sargsyan stated this at Yerablur.
According to Sargsyan, there came a moment when Aliyev was justifying his lack of serious successes. 'At some point, this broke. Glory and honor to our soldier, who managed to fight with 20th-century weaponry against 21st-century arms,' he noted.
Vazgen Sargsyan's brother mentioned that it is important to understand why this happened now. 'The former Minister of Defense, the current Minister, and the General Staff need to analyze this. From this, we must draw conclusions and be always prepared for war.'
