Hayk Marutyan Prepares to Leave and Cut Ties with Current Authorities - 'Zhoghovurd'
According to the 'Zhoghovurd' newspaper, yesterday, after a long hiatus, Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan finally returned to work. He was at the city hall for several hours but, as usual, interacted with very few individuals.
Marutyan's presence at the city hall sparked intense discussions among various employees. It has even been mentioned that Marutyan is at the city hall to address various issues related to him, as he is preparing to fully leave the city hall and cut ties with the current authorities.
It is evident that Marutyan is not concerned about any issues related to the city of Yerevan, a striking example being the snow that has fallen in Yerevan, which remains unshoveled, along with the prospect of the entire city turning into an ice rink.
Our sources also indicate that it is still unclear what topics the city council intends to discuss at its first session scheduled for February 9. The agenda has not been set, and many express the opinion that the mayor will come up with some excuse to avoid attending the session. Notably, yesterday was in fact Hayk Marutyan's first working day, while the capital of our nation is buried in problems.
