Child Transferred to Hospital in Serious Condition and Overcomes COVID-Associated Kawasaki-like Disease

A young child was brought to the "Holy Mother of God" hospital by her mother, suffering from high fever, skin rashes, swollen eyelids, and limbs. The mother recounted that no one understood what issue the child had before they arrived in Yerevan.

Doctors at the "Holy Mother of God" medical center diagnosed the girl with COVID-associated Kawasaki-like disease. After receiving intensive treatment for ten days, the child recovered and overcame the illness.

The current condition of the child is good, with no complications arising. She remains under the supervision of doctors.

So far, five children have been treated for Kawasaki disease at the medical center, with this type of illness being diagnosed for the first time in Armenia at the "Holy Mother of God" mc, as stated by the center's spokesperson Gevorg Derzdyan.
