Kenyan Army to Purchase Turkish-Made Armored Vehicles

The spokesperson for the Kenya Defense Forces (KDF) stated in an interview with the Turkish newspaper 'Star' that they plan to acquire Turkish-made 'Hızır' armored vehicles to enhance border protection and combat the terrorist group 'Al-Shabaab' more effectively. Reports Ermenihaber.

The Kenyan army will purchase 118 armored vehicles from Turkey, designed for military personnel. The total value of the vehicles is expected to be around $70 million. The spokesperson for the Kenya Defense Forces has indicated that they are quite close to finalizing the agreement.

It is worth noting that the 'Hızır' armored vehicles were first introduced in 2016 by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Among Turkish-made armored vehicles, they are considered some of the strongest.
