Joseph Biden, the 46th President of the United States, has made changes to the interior decor of the Oval Office, similar to many of his predecessors. Journalist Newton Dunn noted that the Democrat has removed the emergency button for Diet Coke that was installed by former President Donald Trump.

“President Biden removed the Diet Coke button. When Tim Shipman (political editor of The Sunday Times) and I interviewed Donald Trump in 2019, we were fascinated by what the little red button did. In the end, Trump pressed it, and a waiter quickly brought in a Diet Coke on a silver tray. Now it’s gone,” Dunn said on his Twitter on Thursday, January 21.

In turn, AP confirmed on Friday, January 22, that Biden has gotten rid of the red button that Trump used when he wanted the waiter to bring him his favorite drink, Diet Coke. The agency also noted that the Democrat chose to replace the Republican’s brown leather chair with a dark brown leather chair. A collage of portraits of previous presidents, including George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, Franklin D. Roosevelt, as well as founding father and former Treasury Secretary Alexander Hamilton, now adorns the walls of the office.

At the same time, the portrait of Trump’s favorite president, Andrew Jackson, who signed the law on the removal of Indians, is no longer displayed in the Oval Office.
