We Were More Afraid of Azerbaijani Soldiers Than Armenians, Mercenary Claims

A mercenary from the Syrian "Hamza" division, located in Azerbaijan, revealed that Turkey lied about the reasons for their presence there. The information was shared in a video posted on Twitter by American journalist Lindsey Snell.

The mercenary stated that Armenians were portrayed as infidels who needed to be defended against by Azerbaijanis. They were told that Armenians had occupied Nagorno-Karabakh and were enemies of Islam, necessitating the protection of Muslims in the region.

According to him, Turkish soldiers were not present on the battlefield with them; they only encouraged the mercenaries. The mercenaries reported being more afraid of Azerbaijani soldiers, who treated them poorly, than of Armenian troops.
