Mass Arrests of High-Ranking Officers Resume in Turkey
The Turkish prosecutor's office has issued orders for the arrest of 238 individuals during a new large-scale police operation across 60 provinces of the country, as reported by Argumenti.ru.
According to the Anadolu Agency, all those arrested are suspected of having ties to the FETO organization led by Islamic preacher Fethullah Gülen, which the Turkish government considers a terrorist group.
The agency reports that out of the 238 suspects, 218 are active and former military personnel, including six colonels, three lieutenant colonels, and nine majors from the Turkish army.
