Iranian Armed Forces Begin New Exercises in Southeast Region
The Iranian armed forces today commenced new military exercises in the southeastern Makran region, as reported by Tasnim news agency.
Code-named Eqtedar, the exercises involve airborne units, special forces, and rapid reaction brigades. The participating forces will receive military support from aerial and ground forces from the rear.
The main objective of the event is to evaluate the mobility and offensive capability of Iran's ground forces' mobile assault units and rapid reaction corps. The publication notes that the Islamic Republic's armed forces have conducted several large-scale exercises in recent weeks.
