Turkish Authorities Report Cause of Cargo Ship Sinking in the Black Sea

The sinking of a cargo ship sailing from Georgia to Bulgaria may have been caused by bad weather conditions. This information was reported by REGNUM agency, citing authorities from Turkey's Bartın province.

"It sank due to poor weather conditions. Six people have been rescued," stated the provincial administration.

As a reminder, the Russian-flagged ship sank in the Black Sea near Turkey's coast on January 17. The crew consisted of 15 members, and search operations are ongoing; it is known that two of them have died.
