Parents of Conscripts Exit Meeting with Prime Minister, Results Unsatisfactory
A short while ago, the parents of conscripts emerged from a meeting with the Prime Minister. They expressed that the results of the meeting were unsatisfactory and agreed to meet again on Monday.
“The Prime Minister listened to the issues we raised and acknowledged the seriousness of the matter, showing willingness to cooperate,” said Suren Julhakyan, a parent of a conscript. “It’s not that they were unaware of the issues; the Prime Minister wanted to fully grasp the existing problems and hear our concerns,” the parent emphasized, noting that it is still early to expect answers to the issues they raised, and they anticipate receiving responses at the next meeting.
It is important to remind that a protest action was held in front of the Government by the parents of conscripts from Artsakh, who demand that their children continue their military service in Armenia, as they lack security guarantees.
