Applications for Temporary Employment Programs for Artsakh Residents in Armenia Accepted

In Armenia, applications for temporary employment programs for unemployed citizens from Artsakh who are in the country as a result of the war are now being accepted. This has been announced by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of the Republic of Armenia.

Individuals displaced by the war and currently residing in Armenia, who are registered and have lived for at least the last three months prior to September 27, 2020, in communities outside of Artsakh's control, are eligible to apply for the programs.

In the program "Provision of Support for Gaining Work Experience," beneficiaries can be involved once for a period of three months. Under this program, a monthly net salary of 100,000 AMD will be provided, while the income tax and mandatory contributions will be reimbursed to the employer. Additionally, the specialist organizing the work experience acquisition process at the employer's site will also be reimbursed with a monthly payment of 34,000 AMD.

The other program is "Organization of Paid Public Works," which allows Artsakh residents the opportunity to participate in paid public works conducted in their communities, receiving 8,000 AMD per workday, including income tax and mandatory contributions. The maximum duration of this program is three months.

For both programs, it is necessary to submit a paper application to the territorial center of the State Employment Agency or apply electronically at this address: employment.am/?online_application=1 by filling out the relevant form.
