Unique Block-Module Cities Being Created for Russian Peacekeepers in Nagorno-Karabakh

In Nagorno-Karabakh, specialists from the Russian Ministry of Defense have constructed three unique block-module cities in Stepanakert, Getavan, and Karakeng, where around 400 servicemen of the peacekeeping contingent are already stationed, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense.

Currently, preparations are underway for the construction of an additional five cities, with a total capacity of more than 540 personnel. To ensure the organization of service at observation points, provisions have been established for daily needs, physical training of peacekeeping units, and comfortable living conditions for armed personnel.

The block-module cities are fully autonomous structures equipped with all necessary components of life support systems (electricity supply, autonomous heating, sanitation, water supply, sewage). The facilities are furnished with furniture (beds, wardrobes, kitchen sets, tables, chairs, showers) as well as household appliances (electric oven, refrigerator, washing machine, microwave oven, television, air conditioner, and kettle). All of this allows military personnel to feel at home.

Each city features a gym with artificial turf, showers, a medical center, a drying room, a clothing cleaning room, a relaxation room, an office, a storage area, a dining hall, and a grocery store. These block-module cities can be used in both low-temperature regions and countries with hot climates.

The block-module cities are produced by specialized industrial enterprises and meet all established norms and requirements, designed for the accommodation of military personnel directly at deployment sites.
