The Result is the Parent of the Soldier Who Spoke ‘Arai’ with the Colonel of the Armenian Army: Senor Hasratyan

Former spokesperson for the Artsakh Defense Army, Senor Hasratyan, wrote:

“How did it come to be that we (if not all, then a significant portion) began to not accept or perhaps even hate our Homeland, or more precisely, part of it—Artsakh? (Then it will be Syunik, and then Gegharkunik and Tavush, and so on…)

We have started to hate it, having been injected with the filthy propaganda artificially implanted from outside, discrediting everything that is national and heroic. We hated all those who created and are capable of creating. We hated, believing in the nonsensical and state-dismantling proclamations of the propagandists, and all the false promises that nourished our ‘enlightened future.’

For years we were convinced that to live well, our ‘burden’ is heavy, and that burden is Artsakh... And we, believing this nonsense, forgot what was liberated with the blood of our fathers and sons. We forgot the patience of the relatives of our thousands of victims and missing persons, trampling on them, and ultimately turning their suffering against the Homeland.

The result is the parent of the soldier who spoke ‘arai’ with the Colonel of the Armenian Army, the father of the missing person who broke through the gates of the Ministry of Defense with his car out of despair and powerlessness, and finally—the reality in which our Country is torn from both outside and inside...

Yet we still raise toasts in honor of our nation and Homeland at festive or everyday tables, not realizing that by hating, one does not honor the sanctities...

Let us stop hating ourselves and even those who injected the guilty instinct of hating our own into us...”
