The new head of the Yerevan-Kentron penitentiary has been appointed by the decree of the Minister of Justice on December 17, Colonel Agasi Khachatryan. This information was reported by the penitentiary service's website.

Agasi Khachatryan, 42 years old, has been in the penitentiary service for nearly 20 years, holding various positions. Prior to his appointment as the head of the penitentiary, Khachatryan served as the deputy head of the special purpose division of the penitentiary service. He is married and has one son and one daughter.
