Iran Enhances Quality of Strategic Defense Technology to Strengthen Deterrent Power, Says Minister

The Iranian Minister of Defense, Brigadier General Amir Hatami, has announced that the country's armed forces are improving the quality of strategic defense technology to enhance Iran's deterrent power.

“The defensive forces have employed all means, including preparations for war, harsh sanctions, and the assassination of Iranian scientists, to achieve their nefarious goals of preventing the rise of the Islamic Revolution in the region and the world,” the minister's remarks were quoted by the Mehr agency.

He stated that all conspiracies by enemies against the Islamic State had failed. According to the general, their main objective is to weaken Iran through sanctions and reduce the country’s missile programs.

Hatami emphasized that military power and defense capability are crucial factors for Iran due to its geopolitical and strategic position, as well as the presence of various fuel resources, which necessitates an increase in the country’s military potential in the region.
