Investigation Launched to Determine Cause of Soldier's Death
An autopsy has been commissioned to ascertain the cause of death of soldier Radik Tatosyan. This was stated by Rima Eghanyan, the head of the information and public relations department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia, in response to a query from "Haykakan Zaman."
On January 12, 2021, at 14:50, soldier Radik Edgar Tatosyan, a conscript from military unit N, was admitted to the Artsakh medical center with a diagnosis of "bilateral pneumonia, acute myocarditis, COVID-19 questioned." On the same day, at 18:25, biological death was recorded at the Artsakh medical center. Materials are being prepared in the military investigative department regarding the incident. An autopsy has been ordered.
Conscription soldier Radik Tatosyan was from the Gegharkunik region's Geghovit community. He studied at the Geghovit community's Al. Miasnikyan Secondary School No. 1. According to principal Edward Aslanyan, he was a modest, friendly, and disciplined student. Radik's father, Edgar Tatosyan, frequently traveled for work. The family had two sons, with Radik being the elder. They moved to Yerevan for permanent residence a year ago.
It is worth noting that early in the morning, the Ministry of Defense of Artsakh issued a statement that on January 12, around 18:25, a soldier born in 2002, Radik Edgar Tatosyan, died due to illness (preliminary diagnosis: heart-lung failure) while stationed at one of the military units deployed in the eastern direction.
