Baku's Ruler Expresses Concern Over Possible Armenian Revenge: Vardan Voskanian Elaborates

Despite attempts to conceal it, the Baku ruler has, for the second time, let slip an unequivocal concern regarding the potential for Armenian revenge. This was highlighted in a Facebook post by Vardan Voskanian, an Iran expert and spokesperson for the Homeland Party.

“As much as the Baku ruler tries to hide it, his official words have revealed an undeniable concern regarding the possibility of Armenian revenge for the second time. Yesterday, during a bilateral meeting with President Putin in Moscow, he again addressed this issue, trying to secure assurances of Russian support, stating, ‘I am confident that there will be no attempts from the Armenian side to revise the November 9 declaration, so that our two peoples can find the will and wisdom to think about the future and reconciliation.’

It is evident that a person confident in something would not need to discuss the same issue with varying formulations and levels of emphasis twice in a month. I remind you that in his New Year’s address, the Baku ruler spoke more openly, saying, ‘If anyone in Armenia today harbors revengeful sentiments, he is making a big mistake.’
