Switzerland Approves Moderna Vaccine by Armenian-American Entrepreneur Noubar Afeyan

Switzerland has approved the coronavirus vaccine developed by Armenian-American businessman and philanthropist Noubar Afeyan's Moderna company. According to reports from Armenpress citing RIA Novosti, the drug has been approved for mass vaccination within the country.

The Moderna vaccine is the second to receive approval from Switzerland's drug regulatory authority, Swissmedic. The first was the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine, which was authorized on December 19.

It is noted that the country has purchased approximately 7.5 million doses from the American company. The vaccine is available for individuals aged 18 and older, with the first 200,000 doses set to be delivered to various cantons soon.
