"Peryakov Did Not Act Alone": Six Years After the Murder, the Avetisyan Sisters' Demands Remain the Same
WRed
It has been six years since the murder of the Avetisyan family in Gyumri. On January 12, 2015, Valery Peryakov, a serviceman of the Russian base, entered the Avetisyan's home and shot six family members. A week later, the youngest member of the family, little Seryozha Avetisyan, died in the hospital.
Six years later, relatives struggle to open the now dilapidated and decaying door of the house. No questions have been answered, notes the family's eldest daughter, Lusine Avetisyan. “Peryakov, who was handed over to the Russian Federation, did not act alone,” the sisters emphasize, stating that the mysteries surrounding the crime remain unresolved.
