My Husband's Name Was on the List of Repatriated Prisoners, but He Wasn't Brought; the Next Day He Was Brought Through Nakhchivan: Narek Sardarayan's Wife

My husband was repatriated on December 15. This was stated by Hermine Arakelyan, the wife of Narek Sardarayan, a resident of the village of Nerk'in Khnzoresk in Syunik Province, who was taken captive in Azerbaijan.

“On December 14, Narek's name was on the list, but he wasn’t brought, and the next day he was brought through Nakhchivan,” she said, noting that Narek is feeling well now.

“After escaping the hands of such barbarians, he is doing well. He had health issues, but he received treatment, and now he is in good health and with the children,” she added.

Hermine Arakelyan also expressed hope that all the remaining prisoners would return home soon.

It is noteworthy that Narek Sardarayan, a resident of Nerk'in Khnzoresk village in Syunik Province, went missing while following a herd in the Gorayk pasture on July 8. His relatives suspected that he had gotten lost and ended up on the Azerbaijani side. Eight days later, the Azerbaijani side released a video showing Sardarayan requesting political asylum from the Azerbaijani authorities or expressing a desire to go to a third country.
