Changes Made to Some Restrictions Established During Quarantine Period

The Health and Safety Inspection Body of Armenia informs that, following the amendment of Government decision 1514-N, the quarantine in Armenia is extended for six months, until July 11. However, some restrictions established during the quarantine period have been modified.

In particular, the entry ban for persons without Armenian citizenship through land border checkpoints has been lifted, provided that upon entry into Armenia through air and land border crossings, a negative result of the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test for COVID-19 is presented, with a certificate no older than 72 hours. Additionally, sampling will be carried out at the border checkpoint, and individuals will receive self-isolation instructions until the negative result of the PCR test is obtained. Previously, this requirement was only enforced at air border crossings.

Restrictions on public events have also been lifted, including the limitation on the number of participants. Previously, the maximum number of participants allowed at events was 60. Moreover, restrictions on organizing events in closed spaces have been removed, where only specific events were previously permitted.

The Health and Safety Inspection Body conducts immediate inspections of persons entering Armenia at the border, checks for the existence of negative COVID test results, and notifies of self-isolation conditions.
