On January 12, Ambassador Tigran Balayan presented Honorary Medals of the National Assembly of Armenia to members of the Dutch Parliament, participants in the Armenia-Netherlands Friendship Group, Peter Omzigt, Joel Voordewind, Martin van Helvert, and Sadet Karabulut. This was reported by the Embassy of Armenia in the Netherlands.
The high awards of the National Assembly of Armenia were presented to the Dutch parliamentarians for their significant efforts in developing bilateral relations, as well as for their contributions to condemning Azerbaijani-Turkish aggression against Artsakh on the international stage.
While presenting the awards, the ambassador emphasized that the Honorary Medals of the National Assembly of Armenia are a manifestation of Armenia's gratitude for the substantial work done over the years to deepen cooperation between the two friendly countries, as well as for the efforts of the parliamentarians in protecting human rights, ensuring accountability for war crimes, and condemning the recent Azerbaijani-Turkish aggression.
The members of the Dutch Parliament expressed their gratitude for the recognition, highlighting that their activities are aimed at upholding universal values and preventing the impunity of authoritarian regimes. They stressed the importance of implementing the provisions of resolutions related to Azerbaijani-Turkish aggression by the Dutch Parliament, particularly in terms of preventing new warfare.
