The Chief Prosecutor of Armenia, Arthur Davtyan, is in Moscow, Russia, at the invitation of the Attorney General of the Russian Federation, Igor Krasnov, to participate in the solemn events dedicated to the Day of the Employee of the Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation.
On this professional holiday, the Armenian Chief Prosecutor congratulated his Russian counterparts, noting that the Russian Prosecutor's Office has a respectable historical background of around 300 years, which continues to evolve in line with the new demands and challenges of the time, based on the accumulated experience.
Arthur Davtyan emphasized that the high level of mutual understanding established between the Prosecutor's Offices of Armenia and Russia contributes to active cooperation in the fight against international crime through bilateral and multilateral formats, the effective implementation of legal assistance procedures, and the criminal and legal protection of citizens' rights in each other's countries, which is nourished by the allied and friendly relations of the two states and the essence of their historical, cultural, and civilizational commonalities.
He particularly highlighted the work of Russian prosecutors in the Republic of Artsakh in the context of ensuring the legal sector's support for Russian peacekeeping forces following the recent war in Artsakh. This work contributes to the rule of law, the smooth execution of service duties by Russian military personnel, and the establishment of relationships based on mutual respect and trust with Armenian armed forces personnel and the population of Artsakh, which guarantees stability and peace in the region—factors that are essential for the restoration of normal life in Artsakh, the security of our compatriots, and the development prospects of the region.
Based on the aforementioned, on the occasion of the Day of the Employee of the Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation, four employees of the Russian Prosecutor's Office serving in the Republic of Artsakh were awarded relevant medals and badges of honor for their contributions to strengthening the rule of law in Artsakh and cooperation with the Armenian Prosecutor's Office.
