What Incidents and Calls Were Registered in Artsakh During the First Decade of the New Year: Summary by the Emergency Situations Service

From January 1 to 10, a total of 806 calls were registered at the emergency situations management center of Artsakh's Ministry of Emergency Situations, most of which were related to the discovery of weapons and munitions left in the territory of Artsakh during the military actions, as well as household incidents. This information was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

“During the last 10 days, there were 70 calls regarding unexploded and potentially dangerous military munitions. More than 200 explosive items have been located, neutralized, or stored. There were 15 reports of fires. Thanks to the firefighters, timely firefighting operations were carried out. A major fire incident occurred in a forest area about 12 km from Stepanakert. It was caused by a citizen's negligence. Firefighters managed to extinguish the fire in time through preventive technical measures. The extent of the damage is being assessed. In all cases, there were no injuries,” the report stated.

It was noted that only 2 traffic accidents were recorded, resulting in one injury. Rescuers transported the injured person to a medical center, and their condition is satisfactory. During the last 10 days, there were 34 calls regarding household issues, which specifically related to water supply, patient transport, and opening doors or elevators.

It was also reported that from January 1 to 10, 2021, the remains of 74 fallen servicemen were discovered and returned. Since November 13, a total of 1211 remains have been found, including those of civilians.
