Seven Fire Incidents Recorded in Artsakh in One Day: Republic of Artsakh Emergency Service

On January 10, the crisis management center of the Artsakh State Emergency Service recorded seven fire incidents. The fires ignited in open areas due to the burning of dry grass, which spread and expanded because of the wind. However, thanks to the timely actions of the firefighting units, the fires were extinguished without any casualties.

At 14:53, another fire incident was registered at the 911 emergency call center, which broke out approximately 12 km away from Stepanakert in a forested area. A firefighting crew was dispatched to the scene. It was determined that the fire was caused by a citizen's negligence. Firefighters extinguished the blaze at 17:50 using preventive technical measures, with the extent of damage still being assessed.

The Emergency Service calls on all citizens to exercise caution regardless of weather conditions, urging them to refrain from lighting fires in forested and grassy areas, as this can lead to serious ecological disasters.
