Health Minister Arsen Torosyan Vaccinated Against COVID-19

On November 21, during the official opening ceremony of a mobile laboratory donated to the Armenian Ministry of Health by the Russian Federal Service for the Protection of Consumers' Rights and Human Welfare, Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko handed over samples of the 'Sputnik V' vaccine against coronavirus disease (COVID-19) to Armenia as a donation.

It should be noted that although the 'Sputnik V' vaccine met the safety and efficacy requirements during clinical trials, it had not yet been registered at that time. Therefore, in order to raise public confidence and avoid potential misuse, the first to be vaccinated was the leadership of the Ministry of Health, headed by Minister Arsen Torosyan.

The Armenian Ministry of Health reports that no unexpected post-vaccination phenomena have been recorded among those vaccinated, and everyone is feeling well.

Once again emphasizing the role and significance of vaccination in the process of preventing COVID-19, the Ministry of Health expresses its profound gratitude to the Russian Federation for the mutually beneficial cooperation in the fight against infectious diseases, including COVID-19, hoping that this process will continue for the benefit of public health in both countries.
