Charges Filed Against Mihran Hakobyan

A video has been posted on the ArmNews news website featuring an interview with Mihran Hakobyan, co-founder of the Quad Media company, in which he publicly justified violence by citing the example of Nicolae Ceaușescu.

In connection with this incident, the Investigative Committee of Armenia's Yerevan division has initiated a criminal case against Mihran Hakobyan. He has been charged under Article 226.2 of the Armenian Criminal Code (public calls for violence, public justification or promotion of violence).

As a preventive measure, he has been subjected to a signature restriction to ensure he does not leave the country.
