Ara Ayvazyan Holds Phone Conversation with Iranian Counterpart

On December 28, Foreign Minister Ara Ayvazyan held a phone conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia.

During the conversation, they discussed issues related to bilateral cooperation and the regional agenda. The interlocutors addressed questions of regional security and stability. In this context, they outlined prospects for cooperation in addressing new regional challenges.

Mohammad Javad Zarif expressed the condolences of the Iranian side regarding the victims of the war in Artsakh and extended support to the Armenian people. The participants emphasized the importance of intensifying communications and dialogue at various levels, based on the deep-rooted friendship between the two peoples. They reaffirmed their mutual readiness to deepen close cooperation in bilateral and multilateral formats.
