Please Do Something with Russia, Let Our Land Remain in Our Hands, Says Shurnukh Village Mayor
The latest operation carried out in the village involved GPS measurements and mapping out sections. They have done this and left. There were Russians, Turks, and our National Security involved. This was stated by the mayor of Shurnukh, Hakob Arshakyan, during a working discussion in parliament via a phone call with Arman Abovyan.
Arshakyan noted that during the actions that took place yesterday, he asked the National Security officer if his presence was mandatory, to which he received the response that it was not.
The mayor mentioned that up to this point they have seen neither Azerbaijanis nor troops: “They have not yet approached our area. The left side of the main highway of the village is completely in question.”
He spoke about 12 houses: “Not counting the previous Post Office building in that area. However, we still do not know where the border runs. I think it's in the discussion phase, they will discuss it and we will understand.”
“I urge the National Assembly to be vigilant, do something with Russia, let our land remain in our hands,” the village mayor pleaded.
