9 Real Estate Properties, 35 Million Dram, 48 Thousand Dollars, 8 Million Dram Salary in 4 Months: Argishti Kyaramyan's Declaration

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan signed a decision yesterday appointing former NSS Director Argishti Kyaramyan as the Deputy Head of the Investigative Committee of Armenia. In 2019, Kyaramyan served as the Head of the State Oversight Service, before briefly being appointed as the 5th Deputy Head of the Investigative Committee, receiving the rank of Colonel and the same day being appointed as the Deputy Director of the National Security Service (NSS). On June 8, 2020, he became the Director of the NSS, but was relieved of this position just four months later, on October 8.

Tert.am has analyzed Argishti Kyaramyan’s declaration upon ceasing his duties as the Director of the National Security Service. Kyaramyan declared two residential houses, one located in the Kanaker-Zeytun administrative district of Yerevan and the other in the Yeranos community of Gegharkunik Province. Both properties were gifted to him in 2016. His declaration also includes an apartment in the Kanaker-Zeytun administrative district, which he inherited in 2010.

The Deputy Head of the Investigative Committee declared four plots of land, three of which are situated in the Yeranos community, and one in Tsaghkadzor. All four plots were also received as a gift in 2016. The declaration further includes other real estate attached to the land located in Jrvaz, as well as a garage in the Arabkir administrative district. The land-attached real estate is again marked as a gift from 2016, while the garage was purchased in 2011.

In total, Argishti Kyaramyan declared 9 real estate properties, of which 7 were received as gifts, 1 was inherited, and 1 was purchased. The Deputy Head of the Investigative Committee bought a Mercedes-Benz car manufactured in 2014 in 2017. He has a loan of 6,000 USD as a deposit. His cash assets amount to 35 million dram and 48 thousand dollars. During his four months in office as the NSS director, he received a salary of 7 million 952 thousand dram.
