We are told there is no money for electricity, discuss your Syunik issue in a small room: Zohrebyan

Member of the National Assembly’s Prosperous Armenia faction, Naira Zohrebyan, made the following post on her Facebook page entitled "We are giving away the electricity money": "The situation in Syunik is disastrous. The Turk is freely entering villages in Kapan and Goris and seizing territories. The mayors of Vorotan and Shurnukh confirmed that dozens of houses in the village are being handed over to the Turk.

The mayor of Kapan is negotiating with the Turk tomorrow regarding the main road from the 'Syunik' sovkhoz to Agarak, Yeghvard, and Uzanis, which has been under Azerbaijani control for six days now. The Armenian side is currently using a secondary road, which is in catastrophic condition. Our NSS, which is busy capturing opposition members, is distributing phone numbers to ensure that we can contact them without delay in case of captivity.

The person sitting in the Prime Minister’s chair confirmed today that there will be painful developments regarding Shurnukh and Vorotan, despite the fact that prior to this, the Minister of Defense heroically denied the obvious. To prevent the piecemeal handing over of Syunik to the Turk, the Prosperous Armenia faction has initiated a working discussion in parliament tomorrow, where mayors from Syunik and citizens opposing the handing over of our country to the Turk will be present.

However, it turns out that the parliamentary leadership is categorically against the discussion of this very important issue in the parliament hall, as they officially responded to us that for the allocation of the parliamentary hall, the heating, ventilation, and lighting systems must operate, and these incur additional costs. Yes, we are not joking, people say that there is no money for electricity, and you should discuss your Syunik issue in another, smaller room.

Of course, when the My Step faction holds a session in the parliament hall, which they have no right to, then there is money for heating and electricity. In response to the letter we received from the parliament, the Prosperous Armenia faction has replied in writing that we will cover all the costs for the electricity, heating, and ventilation systems of the hall.

Now we are waiting for another response from the parliamentary leadership. I understand, of course, that the Syunik issue is not considered significant enough for them to incur electricity and gas costs, but we will try to do everything to ensure that this important discussion takes place in the plenary hall tomorrow so that the presence of all those who submitted requests can be guaranteed.

Yes, we were also informed that the My Step faction will not participate in the discussion. Frankly, we had no doubts about this. This is not a discussion about the care of a room ficus that they would come and actively debate how to water and grow the Robust type ficus.”
