The Technical Fleet of the Emergency Situations Ministry has Been Reinforced

The collaboration between the institutions of the Republic of Artsakh and the Russian Federation has been strengthening day by day in recent months. To make the rescue missions in Artsakh easier, the material and technical base of the Emergency Situations Ministry has been replenished today with new and modern equipment, with the assistance of the Russian Federation.

The head of the Emergency Situations Ministry, Major General Karen Sargsyan, along with Colonel Vadim Garshen, the senior representative of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in Artsakh, became familiar with the capabilities of the received vehicles. The director of the ministry expressed confidence that the work of the service would become safer and faster with these special vehicles.

The premises of the Emergency Situations Ministry had been targeted and damaged multiple times during military operations, which affected the equipment as well. In this regard, Karen Sargsyan had addressed the Russian Federation, and the response was prompt.

Today, the ministry's technical fleet has been reinforced with six fire-rescue auto-tankers based on KamAZ and Ural models that meet modern standards, four high-mobility (off-road) vehicles of the UAZ Hunter brand, and one KamAZ crane truck.

Additionally, within the framework of cooperation, Russia is implementing various humanitarian assistance programs in post-war Artsakh, providing the necessary building materials for the restoration of war-damaged infrastructure, as well as furniture, electric wires for improving communication networks, as well as 100 kW generators and field kitchens.

Russian demining teams are also involved in demining and other rescue operations in Artsakh.

On behalf of the entire staff of the Emergency Situations Ministry, Karen Sargsyan expressed profound gratitude to Russian President Vladimir Putin, Russian Minister of Emergency Situations Evgeny Zinichev, Director of the Department of Emergency Rescue Formations, Lieutenant General Igor Kutrovski, and especially thanked Lieutenant General Rustam Muradov, the commander of the peacekeeping contingent in Artsakh, for intervening and organizing search and rescue operations.
