Nikol Pashinyan to Punish Those Demanding His Resignation in Turn
Nikol Pashinyan is not only unwilling to resign but plans to punish in turn all those who demand his resignation. His primary targets are the mayors. Law enforcement has been instructed to initiate criminal cases against village and city leaders who demand the Prime Minister's resignation, while also investigating who is supporting the protests and rallies against him.
In this context, a criminal case was initiated yesterday against former Erebuni district head David Grigoryan, his son, and former assistant, for holding an action at the 'Gortsaranayin' metro station on December 11, 2020, and disrupting the normal operation of the metro.
Moreover, on Sunday, the authorities are preparing an attack against the Mother See and the Catholicos of All Armenians. A statement about an attack on the church is being actively circulated on social media. Notably, those spreading this statement are not only government-affiliated fake accounts but also state officials, including Pavel Tsugunyan, the acting director of the ‘Hayantar’ State Non-Commercial Organization, who is related to the wife of Environment Minister Romanos Petrosyan.
