Emotional Acceptance of the Announcement of 2021 as the Year of Artsakh by the President of Artsakh to Catholicos Aram I

The President of Artsakh, Arayik Harutyunyan, made a post on his Facebook page addressing His Holiness Aram I, the Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia.

“Your Holiness, we received the news that you have proclaimed 2021 as the Year of Artsakh with great excitement and a sense of gratitude. This once again demonstrates that the Armenian people are united and resolute in both moments of pain and sorrow as well as victory—whether in Artsakh, mother Armenia, or in the Diaspora.

I am hopeful that we will all be able to overcome this terrible ordeal that has befallen our Homeland, relying on the strength of God, uniting the potential and efforts of the entire Armenian nation, turning the dark page of history once and for all, and continuing to live and create—for the sake of our martyrs and future generations.

Allow me, on behalf of the people of Artsakh, its authorities, and personally from myself, to express my gratitude to you for always being next to Artsakh, for supporting and assisting us in every possible way. We highly appreciate your God-pleasing and patriotic mission aimed at resolving national issues, preserving and strengthening spiritual and national values, and uniting and prospering the worldwide Armenian community.
