Turks Have Arrived and Reached Vorotan, Right Under Our Noses: Kapan Mayor

Kapan Mayor Manvel Paramazyan recently entered the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia amid the applause of his supporters.

“This process is a political persecution. This government does not care about having heroic sons, like our brave boys and citizens of Syunik. We are concerned about the country’s borders and defense, but let’s see what they are busy with. Whatever happens, a hundred percent of the locals are concerned. Today, we demand security and a safe life from the authorities. What do these people want here—positions, chairs? We are saying, ensure our safety so that we can live under peaceful skies, but they have done neither. They have been roaming here and there like nomadic tribes. We felt pain when we were told to leave our combat positions. As soon as the war started, our detachment went to Jabrayil; we have seen all of that. Fine, there was a war for 8-10 days, the rest was retreat, retreat. The Turks have come and reached Vorotan, right under our noses. Our demand was to create a security zone to ensure safety,” he stated.
