Spain's Torremolinos Recognizes the Armenian Genocide

The city of Torremolinos in Spain has officially recognized the Armenian Genocide. This was announced by the Armenian Embassy in Spain on its official Facebook page.
“The city of Torremolinos (Andalusia) has recognized the Armenian Genocide. The resolution presented by city council member Nicolás de Miguel was also supported by members of Spain's ruling Socialist Workers' Party (PSOE),” the statement noted.
The genocide committed against Armenians by the Ottoman Empire in 1915 was one of the greatest atrocities of the early 20th century. The global Armenian community is commemorating the 105th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. Approximately thirty nations have recognized and condemned the genocide.
