Reward Fund Cut by 50% in 2021 Budget, Hakob Karapetyan Provides Details
The press secretary of the Mayor of Yerevan, Hakob Karapetyan, shared details on his Facebook page regarding the approval of the city's 2021 budget by the city council.
"Let me present some facts from the budget:
The modernization of the transportation system will be allocated 4 billion AMD for replacing old transport vehicles with new ones.
For the implementation of the 'Elevator Renovation and Maintenance' program, 1 billion 145.6 million AMD has been designated. Notably, 1 billion AMD of this amount will go towards acquiring an additional 100 new elevators.
The 'Establishment and Maintenance of Green Areas' program has earmarked 3 billion 750.0 million AMD, of which 350 million AMD is for the acquisition of special transport vehicles.
For the renovation, repair, and maintenance of asphalt concrete pavements, 3 billion 826.0 million AMD will be allocated from the budget.
About 600 million AMD has been set aside for the implementation of social support programs.
Significantly, the reward fund has been reduced by 50% in the 2021 budget, amounting to 1 billion AMD. The own revenues for 2021 have increased by 3 billion 683.5 million AMD compared to the adjusted budget of 2020," Karapetyan wrote.
