Man in France Kills 3 Police Officers, Suspect Found Dead
A suspect in the murder of three police officers in France has been found dead, according to local authorities.
The French Minister of the Interior, Gérald Darmanin, announced on his Twitter page, "The perpetrator has been found dead. I am going to the scene." The suspect is a 48-year-old man.
It is reported that the man killed three gendarmes and injured another during the incident, which occurred in the town of Ambert, located in the Puy-de-Dôme department, on Wednesday night. Police officers had responded to a report of domestic violence when the man opened fire as they attempted to bring a woman down from the roof.
According to media reports, the suspect managed to flee the scene.
