Azeris Gave 1 Hour to Evacuate Area, Reports Vorotan Mayor

Recently, news spread online that Azerbaijan has given one hour for the residents of Vorotan to evacuate newly seized territories. Auroranews spoke with Vorotan Mayor Suren Ohanyan to verify these claims.

“The Azeris have arrived at the area belonging to the Agricultural Cooperative and have given us one hour to leave. They are currently present in that section. The area mainly consists of arable land, and there are 15 buildings,” Ohanyan stated.

When asked about the mood in Vorotan, he said that people are scared. “We are in a combat-ready state. None of the residents of Vorotan have left the area,” he replied.

Regarding the safety of the area for residents, he mentioned that he cannot guarantee security. “No one can say that it is safe, but peacekeepers are present,” he added.
