Kajaran Mayor at the Investigative Committee

The Mayor of Kajaran, Manvel Paramazyan, is at the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia for questioning.

Before entering the Investigative Committee, Paramazyan told reporters that he had received a notification. He is the commander of the 'Kajaran' volunteer detachment. Although the mayor does not know the exact reasons for being summoned for questioning, he considers it a political order. "Today we are concerned about our borders, the defense of our country's borders, but look at what they are occupied with today: people like us do not 'hand over' to the authorities," he noted.

When asked what case he was summoned for, he replied that he could not specify clearly, as it was unclear for him. The mayor expressed his concern about the borders of Syunik and their security. Paramazyan has joined the demands for the resignation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

A group of people has gathered in front of the Investigative Committee in support of the mayor. On December 22, the Investigative Committee announced that within the framework of the criminal case being investigated in the main department for particularly important cases, the mayor of the Kajaran community, Manvel Paramazyan, was invited to the Investigative Committee on December 22; he requested to appear on December 23. The prosecuting authority accommodated his request.
