Former High-Ranking Police Officer Sayat Shirinyan Arrested

Sayat Shirinyan was arrested on December 23, 2020, following a public call for violence made on Facebook, stating, "Susanna Avsharyan, if I were the leader of the movement, rest assured, we would take concrete actions, although I do not criticize the organizers, as they are avoiding bloodshed: But it’s already clear that it's not possible without bloodshed.”

This led to the initiation of a criminal case under Article 226.2, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia on December 22, 2020. The investigation into the matter continues.
