At least four confirmed Armenian women are in Azerbaijani captivity, says Artsakh Ombudsman
At least four Armenian women have been officially confirmed to be in Azerbaijani captivity. Artsakh’s Human Rights Defender Artak Beglaryan stated this during a press conference held on December 23, according to Armenpress.
“There are officially confirmed reports of at least four women in captivity confirmed by Azerbaijan. I believe more than four have already been returned,” Beglaryan said.
He also noted that the majority of the officially confirmed captives have already been returned, while all civilians have been completely repatriated. “There are several military captives who have been on the official list but have not yet been returned. There are missing persons who may have been killed, are in captivity, or are in hiding. There are data and evidence that captives, including civilians, have been killed in captivity,” the Artsakh Ombudsman emphasized.
