Police Form Chains Near Government Building as Citizens Block Access

A portion of the participants in the opposition rally in the Republic Square, called by the representative of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation, Ishkhan Saghatelyan, have surrounded the government building. Police officers have formed chains in several rows near the government building.

Citizens are chanting "Nikol is a traitor" and "Armenia without Nikol." Earlier, Ishkhan Saghatelyan stated in his speech, "I suggest that part of the people remains here, while another part stays on the other side; we have the appropriate groups to block the government building, because this government's activities are anti-state, anti-Armenian, anti-national, and we do not want it." He called on protesters not to succumb to provocations and not to attempt to enter the building.
