1358 Criminal Cases Investigated Against MoD and NKR Defense Soldiers, Citizens for Apparent Crimes

Since September 27, 2020, during the military operations unleashed by the Republic of Azerbaijan, a total of 1358 criminal cases have been initiated and are under investigation in the military investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia regarding crimes committed by the armed forces of the RA MoD and NKR Defense Army against military service regulations, as well as cases of citizens avoiding mobilization.

According to the Investigative Committee of Armenia, charges have been brought against 425 individuals under various articles of the Armenian Criminal Code, including parts 3 of articles 327, 356, 362, and 364. Additionally, pre-trial detention has been applied as a measure of restraint against 117 servicemen. A decision has been made to involve 25 servicemen as defendants, and search notices have been issued for their discovery, with pre-trial detention being chosen as a measure of restraint.
