Traffic Accident in Gegharkunik Province: Driver's Mother Dies, He and Son Hospitalized

Today, December 19, a significant and tragic traffic accident occurred in Gegharkunik Province. At approximately 16:35, on the Sevanyan-Martuni-Getap highway within the administrative territory of the village of Tsakqar, a collision took place between a Volkswagen Touareg with license plate 01 RV 001 and an Opel vehicle.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, as a result of the collision, both vehicles went off the roadway and ended up in a ravine. One person died at the scene, while two others were transported to Martuni Hospital. Eyewitnesses at the scene reported that the deceased was the mother of the Opel driver, and the driver along with his underage son were taken to the hospital.
