Gunshots Heard in Yerevan: Over 20 Shell Casings and Bloodstains Discovered

Today, December 7, gunshots were heard in Yerevan. Around 5:40 PM, the police operations management center in Yerevan received a report of gunfire near the Vazgen Sargsyan Military University in the Nor Nork administrative district.

Photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan reports from the scene that the incident occurred on Shoproni Street, where law enforcement officers have already arrived.

Police and investigators on the scene have discovered more than 20 shell casings fired from an automatic weapon, as well as casings from a handgun. Bloodstains have also been found, along with a wooden baton that has bloodstains on it as well.

Further, traces of injuries were discovered on the stone fence of the Vazgen Sargsyan Military University. The police and investigative department are currently determining whether any citizens with injuries have been admitted to hospitals.
