Stabbing Incident in Sari Tagh: Victim Stabbed by His 29-Year-Old Uncle's Son

Stabbing Incident in Sari Tagh: Victim Stabbed by His 29-Year-Old Uncle's Son

On December 15, at around 2:30 AM, the police department of Yerevan's Erebuni received a report from a medical center regarding a 40-year-old resident of Sari Tagh being admitted with a stab wound to the abdomen.

An operational group was dispatched to the medical center. The man was undergoing surgery, making it impossible to obtain a statement. According to the escort's account, he had fallen from a height at the specified address. However, criminal investigators dispatched to Sari Tagh needed to uncover a different story. The relatives' statement did not inspire confidence. Both the nature of the injury and the initial examination of the scene indicated that the real circumstances of the incident were being concealed. It wasn't difficult to imagine why.

According to the information received, hours earlier, during a domestic dispute, the victim was stabbed by his uncle's 29-year-old son. As a result of explanatory work carried out by law enforcement, the suspect presented himself at the Erebuni police department. He provided a confession and was arrested. The circumstances are still being clarified. A forensic examination has been appointed. The knife has been found. The preliminary investigation into the criminal case continues.
